The team at CCBrandedBox wanted to create an ad based on the idea that their printing service brings businesses to life. I developed a concept that contrasts stillness and dullness (before printing) with movement and colors (after printing). I began with thumbnail sketches and then moved to Illustrator to create the designs and storyboards. All animation was done in Adobe After Effects. The fireworks and magical dust effects were created using AE’s built-in particle system. The biggest challenge was making the cup appear to spin.
