The GEEnEMS team requested an ad that had an 80s/90s console era theme. Therefore I began researching vintage video games like Super Mario and imagery from old consoles like the SNES. After creating a basic moodboard, I began experimenting with thumbnail sketches. And once the story and style were decided, I developed the design in Adobe Illustrator.

Everything was animated using Adobe After Effects. Initially we wanted to make the video pixelated, to strengthen the theme, but we decided against it due to legibility. However, I kept the sound design 8-bit and all the animation very limited to inject the flavor of the era while keeping the design clean.
